  • Padded-verbatim copies of days

While I enjoyed the book, my mind would be telling me, ‘you’ve already read this day chapter once, twice, even three times before in the book.’ If you’re going to reprise a day, at least write each one from a different character’s perspective and provide something new in each chapter. Most importantly, do not start each chapter verbatim as it appeared previously; we know it’s the same day! Day 56 is especially bad. But perhaps my brain operates differently than most folks when going back through my personal WayBack machine.

  • A bit of everything

You start this novel thinking this is quite simple but as you delve further in nothing is simple. Then you think you've got it but you don't. The author incorporates a past tragic crime; boy meets girl; maturing relationship; the pandemic crisis and a somewhat twisted but satisfying ending.

  • Loved this one!

Loved it! Dark, original, and so twisty! A smart and unique premise, with great writing and pacing.
