  • Somewhat fun, ultimately forgettable

It's an interesting premise, but the experience is still relatively flat. It doesn't reach any great depths. The narrative structure is fun, we bounce back and forth between the past and present, and meeting various famous figures from history brings a bit of glee, although the glee feels kind of cheap. All in all, I found it very okay. It didn't tip over into being so hokey that I had to put it down, but I wouldn't recommend it.

  • Intriguing!

This book became most excited about 60% of the way through, but still the entire book was great! I have highlighted so many good quotes. This book gets you thinking hard, about love, life, and time.

  • excellent idea, execution just a little flat

The premise of the story was very intriguing and I loved the use of the flashbacks. The sprinkling of famous people throughout history was unnecessary. In all, an enjoyable story, even though I was left with a feeling that it could have been more.

  • To Gorge or to Nibble?

Recommended by a friend I was in the mood for a bit more meat then I had been reading as of late. The reader will need to decide whether to gorge on the content or be content in nibbles in order to digest. The story makes you think and confront your idea of memories and how they make up the fabric of your life. Different from other long dwelling protagonists, this one carries his memories in the present tense vs the past. Time overlaps and you get a vision of the web of life. That the 'now' if what is important as the past is an intrical part of each now ypu create. A lovely thought provoking read.
