  • Klara and the Sun

Very enjoyable AI character offering perpectives on human nature, emotional relationships, love, and direction of modern world development. Influence of Japanese culture coloring all. Fairly depressing world view with people trapped in preordianed futures and no power. DID like Klara's deduction of sun diety and actions to ask for a boon.

  • Another good read

In Klara and the Sun, Ishiguro does a great job of creating varied and compelling characters. He raises excellent questions about consciousness, technology, the formation of religious beliefs and how we treat “the help.”

  • It's ok

I loved the premise, but ultimately felt the book dragged
