  • Absolutely Amazing Book

This is book one in The Worst Ever Series and it is Isabella and Jack's story and omg it is a must read. When one of Isabella's friend Abby decided that Isabella needed to go on a date Abby set up a dating app saying that Isabella would have the best date ever only things don't always turn out how you want them too or as planned. Isabella's date with Jack was a disaster but she decided to stay because he was handsome and also cocky and she loved the banter between them but Isabella decided to blow of steam and ended up going home with him which is not like her at all as she has never had a one night stand. Lucas who is Isabella's friend asked her to pretend to be his girlfriend to get some of his inheritance only things didn't go as planned as Jack was there and he was also Lucas cousin so what a absolute mess she was in and that is when things became even more complicated. The chemistry between Isabella and Jack was so strong and not that you could feel it sizzling of the pages of this book and I couldn't put it down and had to keep turning the pages to see what would happen next. I loved the forward and backwards banter between Jack and Isabella and it made me laugh so much with everything that was going on with them and even though they were totally opposite of each other in every way they seemed to just gel together perfectly and I found myself hoping that they could sort out there differences to get a chance of being together and having a happy ending. J. S. Cooper is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention right from the start and on the edge of your seat. I definitely recommend you read this book and others by her and you will definitely not be disappointed as her books are so addictive. I Voluntarily Reviewed an Arc Copy of this book.

  • Terrific start

I absolutely loved the start to this new series. Isabella lets one of her best friends, Abby, set her up on a date with a guy from a dating app. Abby doesn’t tell what messages were exchanged, prior to the date, so Isabella doesn’t know what to expect. Likewise, Jack, the date, doesn’t understand why Isabella can’t remember what they’d talked about. This book had me laughing out loud many times. I’m not going to leave any spoilers, but I highly recommend this page turner, especially if you’ll looking for a new series about four best friends and their search for happily ever after. The Worst Date Ever will not disappoint, so grab your copy and see what happens. I received an advanced reader copy of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.

  • Worst or Best??

Isabella, 28, teaches art classes, doesn’t have much money, and hasn’t had a date in over a year. She and her roommates agree to use a dating app to create a profile for another one of the roommates and if the match results in marriage the bride will pay the roommate who set her up $1000. Her roommate texted online with Jack after she setup a date for Isabella and Isabella met him for dinner. Jack was handsome, hot, cocky, and rude and they traded hilarious bantering insults. Isabella had an attitude too and he liked to egg her on and despite their differences they ended up back at his penthouse for a one night stand but she left afterwards when he insulted her again and she called this the worst date ever despite the fabulous intimacy. The next day she agreed to accompany her gay best friend to his grandparent’s house as his girlfriend because he wanted to get money to start a business and he was afraid to reveal his sexual preference to them. When they are there she meets her friend’s cousin John, CEO of the family business, who is actually Jack that she had the worst date with. She explains to Jack about the dating app agreement with her roommate and she regrets lying to his grandparents but she is doing it for her best friend. Jack is a jerk to Isabella again and she realizes she doesn’t really know him. Will Isabella and her best friend reveal their deception to his grandparents and can Jack and Isabella find happiness together despite their past relationships? I loved this story with the bantering and insults flying between Isabella and Jack and I highly recommend it. A lot of the initial awkwardness and fun comments were caused by Isabella not knowing what her roommate had texted about with Jack when the roommate set up their date, however they were still attracted. The author did a great job showing how past relationships had affected both Jack and Isabella and made them leery about getting too involved and then hurt. The ending of the story was great but the bonus epilogue was fantastic. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series about Isabelle’s roommate, Abby, who set up her date with Jack. I received an ARC from the author and I am voluntarily leaving this honest review.
